FOC Blast Off Arm Mode

I’ve had a few requests to show how to get Blast Off into his alternate arm mode so lets take a closer look:

Start in his Shuttle Mode

Next, un-peg his thruster section and unfold the legs:

Don’t worry about the thruster parts, just have them out of the way for now. Continue by opening the legs and pulling out the hand parts:

Next, close the legs and peg the two hand halves together:

From the side they should look like this:

Now just fold the legs back onto themselves like so, make sure the hip joints are facing in the correct direction so the. Legs fold backwards:

Finally, bring the thruster section down. The “points” should face up.

They remain loose so you can adjust them with arm movement:

There you go. Way better than the goofy original version, if you ask me.

This is just one idea. Remember, like the G1 Bruticus, he’s a scramble-city combiner and you can use any limb as an arm or leg.

I highly recommend playing around with him and seeming what you feel works best. Unfortunately, Brawl will make a crummy arm no matter how you configure him, but he makes a heck of a leg!

  1. Thank you for the photos. This makes it very clear on the arm transformation.

Have you noticed any stress on the plastic on his legs with this mode? (Just curious. I won’t be able to try it until after work).

    Have a Merry Christmas!

    1. Glad they help! No, no stress marks, there isn’t anything done that he’s not designed to do, thankfully!

You too! Looking forward to Santa bringing a lot of loot, and I’ll post on whatever I get!

    1. None that I’m currently aware of, but I’ll see what I can come up with. I assume you’re using Brawl for the other leg (because he makes a BS arm).
