So this is awesome…
I for one never had an issue with Fall of Cybertron Grimlock. I really like the figure and feel he’s WAY better than the awkward Classics Grimlock. He’s big and really game accurate for the most part.
But then Zenith Forge comes around and does something even better, they take what was lacking on Grim and fix it! With a custom “Belly Filler” piece that allows for transformation but fills in the empty “tummy” T-rex mode and new weapons that are more game-accurate in size and scale, this kit takes the figure to a whole new level! But then…oh my…then we get a new head! While not game-accurate, it is very CHARACTER accurate and give ol’ Grimmer a much more G1 looking (and in my humble opinion, bad ass looking!) noggin! The pictures below are using the Platinum Series Grimlock, so he has all sorts of shiny gold parts, but you’ll get the idea. Don’t pass this up, it makes a great figure amazing!

I don’t see why not, other than the grey not matching perfectly, there’s no difference in design between Takara and Hasbro.
