Ah Scorn, the apple of my eye…
Of the new AoE Toys, or at least, the four that have come in, Scorn is my favorite, hands down. First of all, I’ve never been a big fan of the “Bay” look. The mangled messy wires and monster faces of the past three movie toys were enough to make me laugh, then pass on every…single…one of them. But something seems to have changed for this line. Whether it’s the inclusion into the Generations line or the fact that these are the “initial” run of the toys, pre-movie release, they all look…well…far less Bay-like. Scorn is by far the most…well..IDW/G1-kinda looking of them all. I don’t mean the G1 Dinobots, because, Obviously, Scorn wasn’t part of the G1 cast, I mean the make up of his design. Very solid frame, and his signature knight-like head sculpt looks like it would fit in with the cast of MTMTE as easily as anything else. Plus, his dino mode is amazing. With a head that both tilts AND turns, and a nice bi-pedal carnivore build (Spinasaurus) – he’s got all the right stuff in all the right places.
